It is that time of the year again, when thoughts meet practice, creation meets execution and ideas meet reality. Tryst is back from 26th February to 1st March 2014. A perfect stage for talent, brilliance and intelligence, this is the roller coaster every techie dreams of. One of the most successful techical fests across the country, Tryst 2014 IIT Delhi Fest is bound to be bigger, and better than ever before – as it goes a reinvention, combining the technical and the entrepreneurial under one roof.

Tryst has been a crowd puller for over 250 prestigious technical colleges and schools across the nation, while Tryst 2014 will also be catering to a host of well-known and sought after management schools and it hopes to leave every thinker, innovator and the creator wanting for more.

What is Tryst?

Tryst is the annual science and technology festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. It is held in February–March, and over the years, it has emerged as one of the biggest festivals of its kind in India.
Every year, collegiate students from various parts of the country attend this technical extravaganza, in an atmosphere which makes them learn and unlearn through an application-oriented approach. It acts as a platform for them to showcase their technological and engineering prowess and nourishes growing scientific talent. The popularity of the festival is evinced by the fact that thousands of students from the Indian Institutes of Technology, National Institutes of Technology, and various engineering and science colleges from all over the country. Robotics, computing and programming events, designing, electronics and a series of workshops and lectures by eminent personalities are synonymous with the Tryst 2014 IIT Delhi.


Tryst 2013

Tryst 2013 was held from 1 to 4 March 2013. With the restructuring of the erstwhile Academic Interaction Council (AIC) of IIT Delhi as the Co-curricular and Academic Interaction Council (CAIC), the scope has been broadened greatly. Apart from the flagship events and department specific events, the various co-curricular clubs like Automobile Club (SAE, Mini Baja, HPV), Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), Robotics Club and Technocracy (Astronomy Club, Economics Club, Electronics Club) will have events, workshops, seminars and exhibitions of their own, making it an extremely huge affair.

The theme for Tryst 2013 was the commemoration of the weird, wacky and wild developments in science & technology. It resulted in huge success with over 15000 students and faculty attendance.

Tryst 2012

Tryst 2012 was organized from 2 to 5 March 2012. This was the first time that the technical and entrepreneurial got combined, with the coming together of the Academic Interaction Council (AIC) and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of IIT Delhi. Tryst also moved over to a rolling domain at http://www.tryst-iitd.com

Tryst 2011

One of the most prestigious platforms for thinkers, innovators and learners alike, Tryst 2011, the annual science and technology festival of IIT Delhi, was held from the 25 to 28 February 2011.

Tryst 2010

Tryst ’10 was organized from 12–14 March 2010 with a footfall of over 12000 students all over the country.

Tryst 2009

Tryst ’09 was organized from 28–29 March 2009 accounting for more than 10000 participants.

Various events like Aero-modeling, Scanning tunelling microscope and Open Challenge were successfully organized. Tryst 2009 was a tremendous success. First time, it Introduced the concept of event time-sheets, feedback forms and periodic meetings to plan the event effectively.

Tryst 2008

Tryst ’08 was organized from 29th Feb – 2nd March, 2008. Hundreds of collegiate students from various parts of India attended it. The theme of the festival was ‘Think, Create, Compete, Design and Indulge’, its catch line being ‘Experience the Dreams’.
